WAKE FOREST RECRUIT DENIES ACCUSATIONS

Wake Forest basketball recruit Makhtar Ndiaye said he does not believe the university violated NCAA rules during his recruitment, adding that he is angry with the man who made the accusation.

"I know NCAA rules," Ndiaye told The Charlotte Observer on Thursday. "[Oak Hill] Coach [Steve] Smith has told them to me. I am all right. Wake Forest has done nothing wrong. I have done nothing wrong."

The school is conducting an internal investigation to determine if its men's basketball program committed violations alleged to have occurred during recruitment of Ndiaye, a native of Dakar, Senegal, who played this season at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson.
