TWO ROANOKE STORES ROBBED FRIDAY
Roanoke County police reported two armed robberies Friday, one at a drugstore on Williamson Road and another at a department store in Tanglewood Mall.About 3 p.m., a robber entered the SupeRx drugstore in the 7000 block of Williamson Road in Hollins, brandished a gun and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, Lt. T.W. Haynes said.
A little over two hours later, a robber with a gun escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and possibly other items from the Brendle's store in the mall, Haynes said.
Whether the two robberies were related was unknown Friday night, Haynes said. Police had no suspects.
