OBIT GLADDEN, PHYLLIS DENIT

GLADDEN, Phyllis Denit, 80, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 1993. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Salem, and was an elementary school teacher at Academy Street and Conehurst Schools in Salem. She graduated from Longwood College and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart A. Gladden. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Nancy Gladden, Salem; two grandsons, Sean Gladden, Will Gladden; also two nieces and one nephew. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Park with Rev. Thomas Joyce officiating. If friends wish to make contributions, they may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad or Fort Lewis Rescue Squad in her memory. Arrangements by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
