Michelle S. Wimmer and Gary R. Franklin were married April 17, 1993, in Colonial Baptist Church with Pastor Donald W. Eade and Reverend Aubrey Dooley officiating. The reception was held at the church. The maid of honor was Pamela W. Moore, sister of bride. The bridesmaids were Melisa W. St. Clair, sister of bride, Dreama W. Janney, sister of bride, and Cathy R. Harris, friend of bride. The flowergirl was Sarah Moore, niece of bride. The best man was Mr. Ray O. Franklin, father of groom. The ushers included Mr. Alan L. Franklin, brother of groom, Mr. Jerry F. Moore, cousin of groom, and Mr. Richard E. Tribbett, friend of groom. Moses Moore, nephew of bride, was the ringbearer. She graduated from Virginia Western Community College and is employed by Community Hospital. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray O. Franklin of Blue Ridge. He graduated from National Business College and is employed by the Salem Fire Department. The newlyweds will live in Blue Ridge after the wedding trip to the Bahamas.
