Mary Frances Scott and WalterHoward Hale were married April 17, 1993, in Shenandoah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Greg Alderman officiating. The reception was held at LaMaison. Thematron of honor was Terry Davis of Roanoke, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Tayne Frye of Newport News, Donna Kirk of Franklin County, Laura Broyles of Roanoke, Cindy Whiten of Maryland, and Jennifer Crowder of Lebanon, all friends of the bride. Flowergirl was Molly Bailey of Roanoke, cousin of the bride. The best man was Howard D. Hale, father of the groom. The ushers were Frank Wilder of Greensboro, Kelly Wells of Roanoke, Jimmy Allen of Roanoke, Chris Assaid of Roanoke, and Anthony McIntosh of Florida, all friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Jeremy Davis of Roanoke, nephew of the bride. Program attendants were Amy Warren, Amy Mauck, and Trimble Bailey. The guestbook was attended by Diane Scull. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Scott of Roanoke. She graduated from Roanoke Valley Christian School and from Radford University in Medical Technology. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Hale of Roanoke, and Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Warren of Roanoke. He graduated from Northside High School and from Virginia Military Institute in Civil Engineering. He is employed by W.W. Boxley. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, after their wedding trip toJamaica.
