Torie L. Neel and Nelson A. Pendleton were married April 17, 1993, in the
Friendship Manor Resident CenterChapel. The officiating clergyman was the Rev.
J.E. Edwards. The reception was held at the Friendship Hall of the center. The
matron of honor was Lindy Neel, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridesmaids
were Angela Davis, Cindy Weeks, Lori Eastman, all friends of the bride; and
Kimberly Pendleton, sister of the groom. Flowergirl was Lisa Neel, the bride's
niece. The best man was Gary A.Pendleton, father of the groom. Theushers were
Chris Bagby and LonnieBailey, both friends of the groom; Jody Pendleton, the
groom's cousin; and Darin Neel, brother of the bride. JeremyCornelius, cousin
of the groom, was the ringbearer. The bride's dress was white satin with lace
sleeves, a chapel length train and a large satin bow in back. The bride is the
daughter of Russell and Judith Peters of Daleville, Va. She is a graduate of
William Byrd High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She
is a graduate of Roanoke Memorial's School of Practical Nursing and is
employed by Friendship Manor. The bridegroom, son of Gary Pendleton of
Thaxton, and Angela Pendleton of Vinton, is agraduate of Liberty High School.
He is employed by Friendship Manor's Long Term Care Builders. The newlyweds
will live in Daleville, after the wedding trip to Freeport, Bahamas.
