TECH MEN REACH TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Virginia Tech men's tennis team defeated South Florida 4-1 in the semifinal round of the Metro Conference Tournament on Saturday in Blacksburg.Tech will face top-seeded Virginia Commonwealth in the title match at noon today. Tech's Marcus Kramer, Dinko Gudelj, Scott Cuppett and Chris Imensk won their singles matches to lead the Hokies into the title match.
Tech's women's team lost 6-0 to top-seeded South Florida, which advanced to play the VCU for the women's conference title today. Tech faces Tulane for third place in a 9 a.m. match at Radford's Dedmon Center courts. - Staff report
