HOW TO REDUCE ABORTIONS
IN RESPONSE to your March 18 editorial, "Abortion's muddled middle":You stated "surely everyone can agree there are too many abortions in America and we need to do more to reduce their number." My question to you is: Which abortion would you not perform to reduce this number? Why is one abortion different from another when probably 90 percent are aborted because the child is not wanted?
Many of us living and enjoying life today might have been aborted had the procedure been as available when we were conceived as it is today. God's natural law is that intercourse can produce conception. Make your choice before, not after conception. There are probably cases of medical necessity, so let the doctor make the decision.
Correct behavior taught in the home will reduce the need for abortions and will make many people have a better opinion of themselves. PETE T. JOHNSON MONTVALE
