A panel of four Hollins alumnae will discuss "Women in the Workplace: The Chilly Climate Issue." The forum will address behavior and institutional structures which, by law, fall short of harassment, but create a "chilly" work environment for women.
And, on April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Babcock Auditorium, the college's Women's Center will sponsor a second forum: "Public Hearing, Private Pain: A Re-examination of the Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill Hearings." The forum will include the viewing of a PBS documentary on the Thomas-Hill hearings, and duPont Scholar Jeffrey Sammons will lead a discussion focusing on the controversy as a race, class and gender issue.
