AUTHOR KINGSOLVER TO GIVE LECTURE AT E&H

Award-winning writer Barbara Kingsolver will give a lecture and reading of her work at 8 p.m. Monday at Emory & Henry College in Wiley Hall. Admission is free.

Her most recent work of poetry is "Another America," published last year. She has also written novels such as "Animal Dreams" and "The Bean Trees," non-fiction including "Holding the Line: Women in the Great Arizona Mine Strike of 1983," and "Homeland and Other Stories," a short-story collection.

Her novel, "The Bean Trees," has been published in more than 65 countries. She is working on its sequel, "Pigs in Heaven."

Kingsolver has been on the campus since April 19 as a writer-in-residence sponsored by the Lile Wallace-Reader's Digest Writing Fellows program.
