OBIT MCKINNEY, S. C., ("MAC")

McKINNEY, S. C., ("Mac"), 74, of Roanoke, died Monday, April 19, 1993 at Lewis-Gale Hospital. He lived at 4511 Hammond Lane S.W., Roanoke and his death followed a short illness. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannie M. Muscaro, one brother, Joe McKinney and one half brother, Hugh Spence. He was employed by the N & W Railway for 39 years, where he served as supervisor in the pipe shop. He is survived by his wife, Margaret K. McKinney, Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill C. and Danene McKinney, Salisbury, N.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sally E. ("Peggy") and Bobby Lambert, Roanoke, and Jim Muscaro, the surviving husband of Jeannie; also 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, Charles E. McKinney, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Melda E. Self, Kimball, W.Va., and Mary A. Sutphin, Ieager, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 3 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. William C. Logan officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
