DOWLING SMASHES W&L SCORING MARK

Lisa Dowling scored a school-record 11 goals Tuesday to lead Washington and Lee to a 21-4 trouncing of Hollins in a women's lacrosse game.

The Generals bolted to an 11-1 lead on the strength of five goals from Dowling, who has 65 goals on the season. Dowling broke her single-game record of eight goals set earlier this season.

Paige Henke added five goals and three assists for W&L (10-2 overall, 6-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference), which is ranked 14th nationally in Division III. - Staff report
