TEACHER NETWORK PLANS SEPT. MEETING

The Appalachian Teachers' Network will hold its third annual conference in Southwest Virginia Sept. 18, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at Radford University.

Its purpose is to help teachers at all levels incorporate Appalachian studies into their classrooms. Sample sessions could cover local history, music, coal camps, flea markets, story-telling or dramatization of a folk tale by a group such as Lime Kiln Theatre.
