TICKETS TO BE SOLD TO BENEFIT ASHE CENTER
Arthur Ashe gained his fame by grabbing Grand Slam titles. The legacy he
left behind comes from his giving. Ashe's tickets to this year's Wimbledon and
the U.S. Open will be auctioned off today, with the proceeds going to the
Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis Center, named for the tennis star who died in
February of AIDS-related pneumonia. The facility in Philadelphia will
celebrate its 10th anniversary today with the help of tennis luminaries Chris
Evert, Pancho Segura, Pam Shriver and Kathy Jordan.
