BUCS-BLUE ROCKS POSTPONED

This week's Carolina League baseball series between the visiting Salem Buccaneers and the Wilmington Blue Rocks is going to take until June to be completed.

In the wake of a game suspended Wednesday because of rain, Thursday night's game was postponed because of wind, chill and another expected rainstorm.

Thursday's game will be postponed until 6:05 p.m. on June 9 as the opener of two seven-inning games. Wednesday's game, suspended before the top of the sixth inning, will resume from that point with the score 3-3 at 6:05 p.m. June 8. The regularly scheduled game will follow.

The Bucs (5-7) begin a three-game series at the Frederick Keys tonight. - Staff report
