OBIT JOHNSON, JOSEPH CHRISTOPHER

JOHNSON, Joseph Christopher ("J.C."), 70, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, April 21, 1993. He was retired from C&P Telephone Company. He will be sadly missed by many friends and associates and his family including his wife, Betty W. (Sam) Johnson; son, Barry Johnson of Floyd; daughter, Phyllis Widner of Salem; grandchildren, Kevin, Kati, Chris, and Michelle; stepdaughter, Sandra G. Redden and Dawn G. Hosey, both of Roanoke; stepgrandchildren, Whitney, Jeffrey, and Russ Todd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 1993, at Lotz Salem Chapel by Rev. Robert Alderman with burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel.
