Buccaneers third baseman Ken Bonifay scored Salem's only run when he knocked a solo homer over the right-center field wall with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

Frederick (9-6) sealed the victory in the bottom of the eighth. Curtis Goodwin reached first on a fielder's choice and went to second on a passed ball. Basilio Ortiz walked, and both runners scored when Alex Orchoa hit a double to the wall in right center.
