OBIT HARE, EUGENE FRANKLIN

HARE, Eugene Franklin, 59, of Buena Vista, died April 21, 1993, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born in Giles County on August 11, 1933, the son of the late Winnifred Forrest Hare and Emily Schrader Hare. He was retired from the Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jewel Hare; a son and daughter-in-law, Garland and JuJoMaya Hare, Buena Vista; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Mike Hamlin, Ft. Polk, La., Lynn and Larry Avery, Andrews Air Force Base, Md.; six grandchildren, Colby and Kim Avery, Michelle and Will Hamlin, Kessey and Kayla Hare; one sister, Clara Butler, Linside, W.Va.; three brothers, Robert Hare, Kirkersville, Ohio, Daniel and Douglas Hare, both of Narrows. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Lomax Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday and other times at the residence.
