OBIT WHITE, VIRGINIA BYRD HUFFMAN

WHITE, Virginia Byrd Huffman, 35, of 1814 Fifth St., Richlands, Va., died Thursday morning, April 22, 1993 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident which happened near Tazewell, Va. She was born in Richlands, Va., and was a daughter of Mary Anne Williams Huffman of Cedar Bluff, Va. and the late Mr. Jacob Hamilton Huffman Jr. She was a 1976 graduate of Richlands High School, a 1980 graduate of Ferrum College and was working on her Master's Degree at Averett College. At the time of her death, she was a social worker at Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, Va. She had made her home in the Richlands and Cedar Bluff areas her entire life and was a member of the First Christian Church in Richlands and a member of the Fort Maiden Spring DAR. Survivors in addition to her mother are her husband, Mr. Randall White; one daughter, Anne Elizabeth Byrd White of the home; one son, Randal White Jr. of the home; two brothers, Mr. Jake H. Huffman II of McQuady, Ky., Mr. James W. Huffman of Cedar Bluff, Va. Funeral services for Virginia Byrd Huffman White will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Tazewell Christian Church in Tazewell, Va. with Rev. Robert Wallace and Rev. Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell. Friends and neighbors will serve as pallbearers. The body is at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tazewell Community Hospital, Ben Bolt Ave., Tazewell, Va. 24651. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements.
