OBIT GOODE, NANNIE SUSAN
GOODE, Nannie Susan, 88, of Huddleston, passed away Thursday, April 22,
1993 in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 12, 1905 in
Bedford County, a daughter of the late Will Jurd Ashwell and Cora Nichols
Ashwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Goode. She was a
member of the Palestine Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, R. Vernon and Pat Goode, Huddleston; a sister, Effie Ashwell,
Huddleston; two brothers, Odell Ashwell, Huddleston, Buford Ashwell,
Altavista; a grandson, Richard V. Goode, Huddleston. Funeral services will be
conducted Saturday, April 24, 1993 at 2 p.m. from Updike Funeral Chapel,
Huddleston, by the Rev. Christopher Fowler and Dr. Frank Schmitt. Interment
will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Updike Funeral Home,
Huddleston.
