CARE PROGRAM HAPPY TO GET BOOKS, VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers and fresh reading material are always welcome at the CARE library. Individuals and groups who would like to donate either time or books are most appreciated, said Rob Duckworth, assistant principal at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School. You may call him at 552-2261.

There are just a few considerations:

The books should be new or nearly new. Books that are worn out, missing pages or soiled are not appealing and would not be read.

The library can use books of all reading levels, because there is a wide range in the ages of the children using it. Picture books are always popular and the library has very few preschool books.

The program is covered for this year in terms of volunteers, but interested people can sign up for next season.
