HILL-LENTZ

Samantha Jo Lentz and Dana William Hill were united in marriage on April 10, 1993, in the Grand Ballroom of the Historic Patrick Henry. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Robert Hutchins of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Samantha is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen E. Lentz, Sr., of Fincastle, Va., and the granddaughter of Mrs. Luella Bloomingdale Ford of New York. Dana is the son of Barbara Proffitt Hill of Roanoke, Va., and Beecher Hill of Arcadia, Va.

Mary Katherine Deacon was matron of honor and H. Duval Hopkins was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dawn Hildebrand, Sheila Waugaman, Suzanne Riley, Tracey Evans, Sherry Zimmerman, all friends of the bride, and Suzie Pooley, sister of the groom, and Sara Leonard, special friend of the bride.

Kip White of Charlotte, N. C., was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Hill, brother of the groom, Stephen Lentz, Richmond, Va., Christopher Lentz, Portsmouth, Va., brothers of the bride, Rory Benson, Mark Harrison, Thomas Cooke, Jack Turner, Randy Hayes, friends of the groom, and Darryl Spangler, cousin of the groom. The ringbearer was C. W. Connor.

The guestbook was attended by Amy Robertson, friend of the bride. The wedding director was Mrs. Kenneth Buckner assisted by Mrs. J. A. Ford.

The bride wore a gown of bridal satin accented with alencon lace with long Gibson sleeves, fitted bodice embellished with pearls, sequins, bugle beads and alencon lace, an extended chapel length train with an alencon lace border. She wore a floral wreath with a short illusion veil and carried a bouquet of lilies and roses.

A reception followed in the ballroom.

The bride is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and is employed as a dental assistant in the office of Michael Hunt DDS. The groom is a graduate of James River High School and attended Ferrum College. He is employed at Cleaning Equipment, Daleville, and assistant football coach at LBHS.

The couple will make their home in Arcadia, Va.
