HURLBUT-LINKOUS
Elaine Sue Linkous and ThomasEdward Hurlbut were married April 24 in Christ
Episcopal Church. The Rev.Deborah Hentz Hunley performed the ceremony. The
reception was held at Billy's Ritz. The maid of honor was Lori Burch, and the
matron of honor was Debra Gray, friends of the bride. The soloist was Jan
Meyer. The best man was John Hurlbut, father of the groom. Usher was David
Hurlbut, brother of the groom. David Hurlbut II and Drew Wilderman, nephews of
the groom, seated guests. Barbara and Julie Wilderman, nieces of the groom,
were elements bearers. The bride is a daughter of William J. Linkous and Diane
L. Linkous, both of Roanoke. She graduated from Northside High School,
attended National Business College, and is employed by Hopkins Travel, Inc.
The groom is a son of John and Emmy Lou Hurlbut, of Young Harris, Ga. He
graduated from Washington and Lee University and is employed by Norfolk
Southern. After the wedding trip to St. Thomas, the newlyweds will live in
Roanoke.
