Janet Marie Childers and Curtis Lynn Shell were married April 17, 1993, inAirlee Court Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eugene Burris officiating. Areception dinner was held at Blueberry Hill. The matron of honor was Julie Brock of Richmond, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Shari Payne of Vinton, best friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Jessica Shell of Roanoke, the groom's niece. The best man was Dennis Lawson of Roanoke, best friend of the groom. The ushers were Michael Childers of Hilo,Hawaii, the bride's brother, and Jeff Brock of Richmond, the bride'sbrother-in-law. Ringbearer was Ryan Heartberger of Vinton, nephew of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Teri Childers of Hilo, Hawaii, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride is the daughter of James and Dawanda Childers of Roanoke. She is employed by Advance Stores, Co., Inc. The groom is the son of Maynard and Lucille Shell of Vinton. He is employed by Revcar Fastners. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, after the wedding trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey.
