SHUMATE-KIRK

Auvray K. Kirk and William D.Shumate, III were united in marriage Saturday, April 10, 1993, in the parlor of Salem Baptist Church with the Reverend Lew Bennett presiding. The bride, a Salem resident, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude L. Tarpley, also of Salem, and the late W. Herald Keith. The groom, a resident of Radford, is the son of Mrs. Lorena Shumate and the late William D. Shumate, Jr. The bride was attended by her daughter, "Dani" Kirk. The best man was David Shumate, son of the groom. The couple will make their home in Salem.
