The Generals finished with 69 points. Hampden-Sydney was second with 48.5 points, followed by Randolph-Macon (43), Guilford (37.5), Lynchburg (37), Emory & Henry (34.5), Roanoke (18.5), Eastern Mennonite (17), Virginia Wesleyan (12.5) and Bridgewater (10).
Washington and Lee's women's team won five of six singles titles and two of three doubles titles to claim its third straight ODAC championship.
Marilyn Baker, Shelley Sunderman, Julie Ayers, Helen Chandler and Leslie Copeland were singles champions. Doubles champions were the Baker-Ayers team and the Chandler-Sunderman team.

Duke won four singles matches and three doubles matches to defeat Virginia 5-2 in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis tournament. The Cavaliers (11-13) finished their season 3-9 in the ACC.
Duke won five of six singles matches and romped over Virginia 5-1 in a semifinal match of the ACC women's tennis tournament. The Blue Devils (20-2), five-time defending league champions, advance to the finals against Clemson. The Cavaliers finished the season at 18-7.
Kurt Swoboda and James Lowe were the only singles winners for VMI at the Southern Conference Men's Tennis Tournament at Davidson, N.C. Davidson leads the tournament with 66 points, followed by Furman at 64 and East Tennessee State and Georgia Southern at 52. The Keydets are in seventh place with 24 points.
