OBIT BOITNOTT, WILLIAM ARTHUR

BOITNOTT, William Arthur, 88, of Roanoke, died Saturday, April 24, 1993. He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church, was retired owner of W. A. Boitnott Sheet Metal Works, a member of Roanoke Lodge Knights of Phythias and Mt. Dale Lodge No. 49, I.O.O.F. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Silvers Boitnott; two sons and daughters-in-law, Telford W. and Mary Grace Boitnott, Fredrick C. and Sandra Boitnott, all of Roanoke; four grandchildren, William H. Boitnott, Laurel, Md., Chris Boitnott and Julie McNutt, both of Roanoke, and Karen Zipfel, Boones Mill; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Alane and Wesley Scott McNutt; one brother, George T. Boitnott, Boones Mill; brother-in-law, Cecil M. Farris, Roanoke; sister-in-law, Hilda Boitnott, Boones Mill. Funeral service will be conducted at the graveside, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 1 p.m. Monday, April 26, with the Rev. Albin P. Crutchfield officiating. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
