OBIT MARTIN, ONIE DUNCAN

MARTIN, Onie Duncan, 82, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, April 24, 1993 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Martin was born in Montgomery County on January 28, 1911 to the late John Henry and Mary A. Weddle Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Crockett Martin, one daughter Marie Baker, one son Ralph Martin, five brothers and one sister. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Juanita and Sam Kittinger, Blacksburg, Frances Elizabeth and Melvin Lovern, Christiansburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl William and Jean Martin, Blacksburg; one brother, John Ed Duncan, Walton; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Profitt and the Rev. Homer Sawyer will officiate. Interment will follow in the Echols Cemetery, Ironto. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
