Frederick third baseman Scott McClain tied it up in the seventh inning when he hit a two-run home run on the first pitch thrown by reliever Jim Martin.
Scott Klingenbeck (2-0) was the winning pitcher for the Keys (10-7). He worked eight innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out nine. Sean Evans (0-1) was the loser for Salem. He gave up one run on three hits in one inning of work.
