OBIT FULLERTON, EULA ST. JOHN
FULLERTON, Eula St. John, 89, of Fincastle, died Sunday, April 25, 1993 at
her home. She was a former resident of Washington County and was the widow of
Thomas B. Fullerton. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in
Fincastle. Mrs. Fullerton was the first superintendent of the Washington
County Welfare Department and served for 20 years as field representative for
the State Welfare Dept. with service in 17 counties in Southwest Va. She is
survived by three daughters, Mrs. John D. Neely, Chatham, Mrs. Shirley Abell,
Abingdon, and Mrs. Phebe Cress, Fincastle; one sister, Mrs. Warden Webb, Glade
Spring; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be
held 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Fincastle. A graveside
service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holston Conference Emory and Henry
College Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of
flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Abingdon Day Care
Center, 152 Highland St., Abingdon, Va. 24210 or to the Memorial Garden of St.
Mark's Episcopal Church, Fincastle, Va. 24090. Farris Funeral Service in
Abingdon is handling arrangements.
