LANDMARK WOULD STILL BE LANDMARK

IN RESPONSE to Ed Shamy's March 24 column, "Pupil assigns rocket mission," I say that moving the rocket from Wasena Park to Lucy Addison Aerospace Magnet School is an exceptional idea.

I am a student at Addison, and I think the rocket would have a better home here. Since our school is an Aerospace Magnet School, the rocket would be like a monument to our school and would make Addison even more special than it already is. To those who think that the rocket is a landmark, it would still be a landmark at Addison, just in a different place.

It just sat at Wasena Park being special to many people because it was there from their childhood, but it would be special to all the students and teachers at Addison. ROSE HEIDE ROANOKE
