OBIT KING, LOUISE VALENTINE WHITT
KING, Louise Valentine Whitt, 88, a lifelong resident of Pulaski County,
died Sunday, April 25, 1993, in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Draper,
February 14, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Sidney A. Whitt and Lucy
Huddle Whitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paris Bosang "Pete"
King; also two sisters; and one brother. Mrs. King was a lifelong member of
the First Christian Church, was an active member of the women of the church, a
member of the Order of the Easter Star #113, a member of the Homemakers Club,
a member of the Good Neighbor Club, a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
She was an avid sports fan and was known county wide for her old fashioned
cooking skills, especially for her dried fried apple pies. She is survived by
one daughter, Patsy L. King, Pulaski; one son, William P. King Sr., Miami,
Fla.; two grandsons, William P. King Jr., Joseph Michael King, both of Miami,
Fla.; two special grandsons, Jon Thomas Jarrells, Dublin, Jason Stanley
Jarrells, Pulaski. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from
Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with Dr. Jerry G. Whitt and Rev. C.
Maynard Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens,
Dublin. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 1 p.m., and the family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will include Ralph Bishop, Jon Jarrells, Jeffrey Jarrells,
Donald Jarrells, Lilbern Thompson, Dr. W. David Parks.
