OBIT ABLE, RAYMOND C.
ABLE, Raymond C., 60, of Marion, died Sunday, April 25, 1993 in the VA
Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Able was a veteran of the Korean Conflict,
serving in the U.S. Army. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and was a
member of the American Legion Post #18 of Marion. He is survived by one son
and daughter-in-law, Peter and Ruth Able of Marion; two grandsons, Mathew and
Joshua Able, both of Marion; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Cecil (Buddy)
Able of Marion, Mark and Sallie Able of Roanoke; two special friends, Helen
Able of Marion and Irene Wright of Union, W.Va.; three stepsons and one
stepdaughter, James Reynolds of Iaeger, W.Va., Michael Reynolds of Pulaski,
Danny Reynolds of Marion and Debbie Smith of Richlands; nine
stepgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 1993 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown
Chapel with Rev. Randy J. Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn
Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Marion VFW Post $4667. The
family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Seaver-Brown
Chapel.
