REP. BOUCHER TO HOLD TOWN MEETING IN WYTHE

Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, will host a town meeting at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fort Chiswell High School to hear concerns of people in that area.

"These are nonpartisan public forums where we discuss matters of public interest, including economic development," Boucher said. He holds about 100 such meetings each year, and said most of his ideas for federal legislation come from them.

"I would encourage all Wythe County residents who have suggestions for new approaches to addressing our area's needs to attend," he said. Members of his staff will be on hand to assist people who have had problems dealing with federal agencies. - Southwest bureau
