OBIT MCDANIEL, FLETCHER BARGER
McDANIEL, Fletcher Barger, 66, of Salem, died Monday, April 26, 1993, in a
Roanoke hospital. He was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad with 44
years of service. Surviving are his wife, Julia Franklin McDaniel; a daughter
and son-in-law, Kathy and Kevin Collie, Salem; three grandchildren, Rachel
Collie, Adam Collie, Sarah Collie; four sisters, Mamie Dunning, Salem, Mary
Sue Jones, Roanoke, Lucille Pyles, Stony Point, N.C., Frances Mattingly,
Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, A.W. McDaniel, Ralph McDaniel, both of Roanoke;
a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April
28, 1993, 2 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Michael Slaughter and
the Rev. Ken Nienke officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends
may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
