OBIT SUMMERS, MARGARET C.

SUMMERS, Margaret C., 74, of Salem, died Sunday, April 25, 1993. She was a native of Newport News and long time Salem resident. She was active in her husband's law practice for many years until his death in 1977, after which she owned and operated Summers' Accounting Service, Salem. She was a faithful member of the Salem Presbyterian Church and was active in the Meals on Wheels Program. She was a graduate of Westhampton College, now the University of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Summers and brother, Coleman Cutchins. Survivors include a son, George "Deke" Summers V of Goodview; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy S. and Wendell J. Scott of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Frank "Spike" Rhudy of Lawrenceville, Ga. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, by the Dr. Leighton Culler. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Presbyterian Church or the Salem Community Food Pantry, 42 E. Main Street, Salem, Va. 24153. John M.
