OBIT ZIEGLER, LUNIE W.

ZIEGLER, Lunie W., 90, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 1993. He was a charter member of the Bethany Christian Church where he was an Elder Emeritus and had served in many other capacities over the years. He was a former employee of American Viscose Corporation and retired from J.C. Penney Company. He was predeceased by a son, Claude E. Ziegler. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mrs. Jeanettie (`Nettie') Palmer Ziegler. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Virginia Ziegler of Roanoke, Wayne and Rosemary Ziegler, Stone Mountain, Ga.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Adean and Arthur Young, Roanoke, Jean Z. Wimmer, Kitty Hawk, N.C.; one daughter-in-law, Betty A. Ziegler, Richmond; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Bethany Christian Church 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 1993, with the Rev. John P. Dunstan officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Christian Church. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
