OBIT CROWE, LUCY FAY

CROWE, Lucy Fay, 94, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Bluefield, W.Va., died Saturday, April 24, 1993 in Port St. Lucie Convalescent Center. Born in Big Creek, Tenn. she was the daughter of the late Issac and Eleza Greene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Crowe Sr. and one son, Thomas F. Crowe Jr. She was an associate member of the First United Methodist Church in Stuart and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Bluefield, W.Va. She was a lifetime member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church of Roanoke and was a member of the Grand International Auxiliary Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the General Federation of Women Clubs, also the ladies auxiliary V.F.W. She was a member of the Navy Mother's American Association of Retired Persons of the State of W.Va. and a lifetime member of the Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, Roanoke. Surviving are two daughters, M. Ganelle Allison of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Lucy Aliene Stafford of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Roanoke; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Arnold G. Husk officiating. Burial will follow at the Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley. Friends may call the Mercer Funeral Home, 1401 Bland St., Bluefield, W.Va. 24701 from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
