OBIT AKER, HOWARD

AKER, Howard, 70, of Marion, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993, at his home. Mr. Aker was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of Brunswick Corporation and a member of the First Church of God in Marion. He is survived by his wife, Shirley B. Aker, Marion; two daughters, Linda C. Aker, Roanoke, and Melissa A. Coe, Charlotte, N.C.; one granddaughter, Amanda Kelsey Coe; one brother, Hobert Aker, Marion; three sisters, Louise A. Lee, Fredericksburg, Lula Mae Hawthorne, Greensboro, Ky. and Florida A. Haulsee, Marion. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 30, 1993, 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Tom Shockley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
