STATE APPEALS COURT ELECTS CHIEF JUDGE

The Virginia Court of Appeals has elected Judge Norman K. Moon as its chief judge.

Moon has served on the Court of Appeals since its establishment in 1985. He is the court's third chief judge and succeeds Judge Lawrence L. Koontz Jr., who served two four-year terms beginning in 1985.

Moon graduated from the University of Virginia and its Law School. - Associated Press
