COURSES TO IMPROVE DRIVING SKILLS OFFERED

New River Community College will offer two noncredit defensive driving courses during its summer session. Participants can choose to attend one all-day Saturday session or four, two-hour Monday night classes. Courses are designed to correct and improve driving skills.

The Saturday classes begin Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Additional Saturday sessions are set for June 5, July 17 and Aug. 7.

The first Monday evening session begins May 10, from 7 until 9, and continues for the next three Monday evenings. Other four-week Monday evening sessions start June 7, July 5 and Aug. 9.

Registration is required. The class costs $50 and awards five safe-driving points to those who successfully complete it.

Both class sections will meet in 127 Godbey Hall on the New River Community College campus.

For more information, call Joyce Taylor at 674-3600, Ext. 245.
