OBIT-NOFSINGER, DUANE E. WALSH

NOFSINGER, Duane E. Walsh, 92, of Roanoke, died April 27, 1993, at the home of her nephew, Robert B. Hall, Charlottesville, Va. Mrs. Nofsinger was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, past president and lifetime member of the Magic City Garden Club. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Roanoke Academy of Medicine. She was the widow of Collins Denny Nofsinger Sr., M.D. and was preceded in death by her son, Collins Denny Nofsinger Jr. D.D.S. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Miss Catherine Nofsinger, Roanoke, Va. and Mrs. Mary Virginia and Samuel H. Nicholson, D.D.S., Edgefield, S.C.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Nannie W. Blake, Culpeper, Va. Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J. Harris Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
