FBI LIKENED TO NAZI GERMANY

MOST OF US are aware that David Koresh had a bit of a mental problem. However, he was absolutely right about one thing. He said he was hoping to make all Americans aware of their danger. The United States government, in the form of the FBI, took it upon themselves to invade someone's home and it is responsible for the totality of deaths incurred. That is a prime example of governmental infringement upon the rights and choices of an individual.

Koresh may not have been Jesus Christ as he claimed, but the example is now the same. Both were outcasts by society and both were killed by the government of the time and place.

I most certainly would not follow Koresh, but I hope from this that Americans realize that no one's home is completely safe from a government that surely cannot be trusted. The governmental interference and resulting deaths of people that chose to live there is like a small-scale Nazi Germany. Remember that?

A "cult" is a belief that "others" don't understand, and in ancient Israel and Rome, Christianity was a "cult." EDMUND COFFEY MONETA
