The town Parks and Recreation Department finished its youth basketball season recently.

League tournament champions, MVPs and leading scorers were:

Boys' Minor League (ages 9-10): Hornets 15-2. MVP: Mike Tilley, Hornets. Leading scorer: Travis Roop, Tar Heels, 17.2 ppg.

Boys' Major League (ages 11-12): Blue Devils 14-1. MVP: Robert Rogers, Bulls. Leading scorer: Rogers, 30.9 ppg.

Boys' Junior League (ages 13-15): Hornets 13-2. MVP: Ron Branch, Hornets. Leading scorer: Branch, 19.5 ppg.

Boys' Senior League (ages 15-18): Timberwolves 4-6. MVP: Eric Webb, Magic. Leading scorer: Webb, 25.2 ppg.

Girls' Minor League (ages 8-11): Patriots 12-2. MVP: tie, Margaret Woolwine, Raiders, and Amber Hanks, Patriots. Leading scorer: Tracy Stowers, Thunderbirds, 11.9 ppg.

Girls' Major League (ages 12-15): Warriors 10-3. MVP: Jaimee Williams, Warriors. Leading scorer: Sharmon Underwood, Lakers, 13.0 ppg.
