OBIT WEBB, ETHEL MAE

WEBB, Ethel Mae, 74, of Roanoke County, died Thursday, April 29, 1993. She was a faithful wife and mother and friend to anyone she met. She opened her heart and home to many in need. Mrs. Webb was a charter member of Pathway Assembly of God in Buchanan, and served as Sunday School teacher and Women's Ministries president. She was preceded in death by her parents, David I. and Gertrude Wood Ruffner and a daughter, Evelyn Lee Moran, five brothers and two sisters. Surviving are her husband, Bernard N. ("Dusty") Webb; a son, James A. Locke, Bedford County; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Rev. Perry Snuffer, Buchanan; a brother, David L. Ruffner, Winchester; a son-in-law, Charlie R. Moran, Roanoke; special friends, Louise and Jennifer Nelson and Linda Naff, all of Roanoke; also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel, noon Monday, May 3, 1993 with Rev. Glenn Strickland and Dr. Irvin Steiding officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
