OBIT TYREE, CLARA FRANKLIN

TYREE, Clara Franklin, 79, of 324 Tanyard Rd., Rocky Mount, died Thursday, April 29, 1993, as a result of a pedestrian-automobile accident. Mrs. Tyree was a former employee of the Martinsville and Franklin Memorial Hospitals, where she worked in the nursery. Mrs. Tyree also did private duty nursing. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Linda Tyree, Raleigh, N. C.; one granddaughter, Lane Tyree, Eastville; one grandson, Bill Tyree, Moneta; a stepdaughter, Emma Hodges, Rocky Mount; a foster daughter, Mary Ann Page, Raleigh, N. C.; brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Lois Franklin, Glade Hill; nephews, Ricky Franklin and Jimmy Franklin; nieces, Gloria Housman, Brenda Cundiff, Joyce Thurman; sisters-in-law, Margaret L. Ramsey, Helen Gentry, Blanche Featherston; brother-in-law, George Tyree. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Lewis C. Arnold, Rev. John R. Leeper, and Rev. T. Ivey Adams Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, and other times at the home of Carlton and Lois Franklin.
