EXPERIENCE IS A VOTE-GETTER

WHEN IT comes to voting, I'm neither Democrat or Republican, nor any of the other parties. I vote for the person and what he or she stands for.

When it comes to commissioner of revenue for Roanoke, my vote goes to David Anderson. Why? Experience. I believe in a person who has for the past 16 years been chief deputy treasurer, has worked in the finance department for about eight years and has resided in the city for 29 years.

Anderson continues to update his education and know-how by attending classes at Virginia Western. He has served on the boards for the Fifth Planning District Commission and Roanoke Emergency Medical Services and is a former board member and treasurer for the Council of Community Services. He is past treasurer and finance chairman of his church.

He is interested in Roanoke, and it shows. Please support the candidate of your choice in the upcoming election. I am, and it will sure be Dave (the ol' beekeeper) who gets my vote.
