BLANKENSHIP-BLANKENSHIP

Lori Beth Blankenship and Richard J. Blankenship, Jr. were married May 1, 1993 at seven o'clock in the evening at Windsor Hills Baptist Church. TheReverend C. Lawrence Dodson officiated. The reception was held in the fellowship hall.

The matron of honor was Lisa B. McDaniel, sister of the bride. Thebridesmaids were Krissy Blankenship, sister of the groom; Laura Adkins and Nicole Riggs, cousins of the bride; and Blair Buehler, friend of the bride.Flowergirl was Nicole Blankenship,cousin of the groom. The best man was R. Jerry Blankenship, Sr., father of the groom. The ushers were Jimmy Lynch, cousin of the groom; Kevin Owen, Dave Benson and Trevor Ruble, friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Joshua McDaniel, nephew of the bride. Guestbook attendant was Melinda Blankenship, cousin of the groom.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white satin gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, scalloped back, short puffed sleeves accented withalencon lace rosettes on shoulders and back waistline, fitted basque bodicedetailed with pearls, bugle beads, andsequins, and a full tulle skirt falling into a chapel train featuring alencon laceappliques.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Blankenship of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Roanoke College.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Blankenship of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Roanoke College. He is employed with R. B. Alexander, Inc. of Charlotte, N.C.

Following a wedding trip to Sand Key, Fla., the couple will make their home in Charlotte, N.C.
