COUNTS ANNIVERSARY

John Smyth Counts and Louise Creech Counts celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 24, 1993. The celebration was held at the First Christian Church, hosted by their children and grandchildren. They were married April 21, 1943 in Roanoke. John is a lifelong citizen of South Salem, and Louise is formerly of Coeburn, Va. Their children are Roger Lewis Counts of Millersville, Md.; Robin C. Garrett of Elliston; John Smyth Counts, Jr. of Salem; and Nancy C. Ayers of Salem. John is retired from the N&W Railway, and Louise is retired from G.E. They belong to the First Christian Church, Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges.
