OBIT RIDGEWAY, MINNIE PAYNE

RIDGEWAY, Minnie Payne, ("Mama Minnie"), 101, of Roanoke, died Saturday, May 1, 1993. Mama Minnie was the oldest resident of the Garden City Community and was the oldest charter member of Garden City Baptist Church. She was the widow of William B. Ridgeway. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Ardith Browning, Gatha and Johnnie Webb, Mozelle Gibson, all of Roanoke; a son, Clovis H. Ridgeway; her grandchildren, Wanda Peters, Opal Dylewsky, Gary W. Webb, Che Chee Trail, Toby M. Webb, and Shelia Kidd; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Garden City Baptist Church, Monday, May 3, 2 p.m. with the Rev. Don McCaskill officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
